In the 1950s, a generous spring on Shiloh’s property fed a fishing lake and a swimming pond on low-lying land behind the church.  After three decades of recreational use, they were drained because of maintenance expense and safety concerns.  In 1987, efforts to restore the land created today’s nature trail and gardens.  The area features the ONLY modern Towne truss covered bridge in the state of Georgia.  The bridge was completed in 1993 by members of Shiloh.
